We invite you to join us in transforming lives by donating your pre-loved mattresses, which we will lovingly refurbish and provide to those in need. Your contribution helps us deliver comfort, dignity, and a foundation for a better tomorrow.

Why donate a pre-loved mattress? Many people lack the basic comfort of a proper bed. Your gently used mattress, instead of ending up in a landfill, can become a bed of hope for someone starting anew, a family recovering from hardship, or a child needing a good night's sleep. By giving your mattress a second life, you're contributing to sustainability and making a profound impact on someone's well-being.

What kind of mattress are we looking for?

We're seeking mattresses that have served their purpose well but are still in a condition suitable for donation and refurbishment. Think "pre-loved," not "ready for the dump"!

Your donated mattress should be:

• Clean: Free from dirt, spills, or odours.
• Structurally Sound: No broken springs, major dips, or tears in the fabric.
• Gently Used: Some minor signs of use are perfectly acceptable, such as:
  • Slight, even compression in common sleeping areas.
  • Minor, faded discoloration (not stains).
  • Subtle fabric pilling.

We cannot accept mattresses that are:

• Heavily stained, soiled, or wet.
• Mouldy or have pest infestations.
• Broken, ripped, torn, or severely damaged.

Please note: This campaign is specifically for mattresses. We are not collecting bed frames, pillows, or bedding at this time.

How to Donate Your Mattress (No Payment Required!):

Donating your mattress is simple and completely free. We've set up this product page to help us manage collections efficiently.

1. Add to Cart: Click the "Add to Cart" button for this "67 Beds of Hope" donation item.
2. Proceed to Checkout: Go to your cart and click "Check out."
3. Delivery Information:
   • Select "Pick up" as your delivery method. This is crucial! It indicates that you are facilitating a donation, not making a purchase for delivery to you.
   • Enter your contact information so we can get in touch regarding collection.
4. Delivery Method (Mandela Day Collection): On the next step, you will see and must select "Mandela Day Delivery" as your shipping method. This is our dedicated option for scheduling the collection of your donated mattress.
5. No Payment Needed! You will NOT be asked for any payment details. This "product" is purely for coordinating your valuable donation.
6. Confirm Order: Complete the checkout process. You will receive an order confirmation email – this confirms your intention to donate and helps us track the 67 mattresses.

What happens after you "check out"?

Once you've completed the "checkout" process, our team will be in touch within 2-3 business days to:

• Confirm your mattress's suitability based on the guidelines above.
• Coordinate a convenient collection time and date from your specified address in Gauteng, from July 7th to July 14th.
