What kind of mattresses can I donate?

We accept spring and foam mattresses that are clean, dry, and free from major damage, tears, stains, mold, or pest infestations. Ideally, mattresses should be no older than 10 years to ensure they are suitable for refurbishment. We cannot accept waterbeds or air mattresses.

How do I donate my mattress?

You can drop off your mattress at our designated SoftLife Manufacturing Benoni showroom during our collection hours (July 7 - July 14, 2025). For qualifying donations (e.g., mattress sets, multiple items), we offer a limited, scheduled pickup service within a 20km radius of Boksburg. Please fill out the donation inquiry form above to arrange this.

What happens to the mattresses after I donate them?

Each donated mattress undergoes a thorough refurbishment process by SoftLife Manufacturing experts. This includes deep cleaning, sanitization, structural repairs, and applying new, hygienic covers. Once restored to SoftLife standards, they become "Beds of Hope" and are donated to reputable local charities and vulnerable households in Gauteng.

When is the collection period?

The mattress collection period runs from Monday, July 7, 2025, to Monday, July 14, 2025.
